A proud Kamilaroi woman, Tracey Saunders has been thriving since joining our Women’s Business 2nd Chance program.
Tracey has a cheeky nature and a gift for self expression. She set her sights on a traineeship, motivated by the opportunity to upskill and gain fulltime employment.
As well as expanding her own horizons, Tracey saw this as a way to support her children and family.
Tracey participated in our Vision Board workshops and was supported by one-on-one mentoring by our Rech Out Officers.
The WB2C team has been by her side, helping prepare and submit documentation that Tracey needed to complete her training and gain a traineeship.
Tracey went on to be nominated as a finalist for the Greater Western Sydney and Blue Mountains Region Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year award at the Metro Sydney NSW Awards and became the proud recipient of an award from NSW Training for her outstanding dedication and enthusiasm as a student.
We are thrilled that since graduation, Tracey has gained fulltime employment with Sydney Water and is loving her new career.
Our team is so proud of Tracey and will continue to support her as she grows her career grows.
