Rebecca’s journey is a strong example of how the right support, at the right time, can create meaningful and lasting change.
When Rebecca joined the program in March, she was feeling uncertain about her next steps and experienced some anxiety, not knowing what to expect. From the outset, however, she approached the program with openness, engaging in honest conversations and taking the time to understand how it could support her during this period of transition.
Although initially anxious, Rebecca remained committed to attending and actively participating. She consistently contributed thoughtful feedback and, over time, began to build her confidence. This commitment has seen her grow into one of the top performers in the group. She now plays a positive and supportive role within the program community, including assisting with morning tea and helping to create a welcoming environment for others.
Rebecca has shown a strong willingness to accept guidance and embrace new opportunities. The program has given her renewed motivation and confidence to explore future goals, including the possibility of starting a new business. She is keen to reconnect with Many Rivers to explore potential pathways and supports available to her.
Alongside her personal development, Rebecca has prioritised her wellbeing. She attends the gym daily, including weekends, and has achieved a weight loss of 4 kilograms since starting the program. She reports significant improvements in her physical health, including reduced impact from a previous back injury, as well as noticeable benefits to her mental health and anxiety.
Rebecca describes her time in the program as having helped her mentally, physically, and emotionally. She also reflects on the experience as a healing journey, providing a healthy way to process grief and rebuild her sense of self.
Rebecca has taken pride in sharing her journey publicly, posting videos on social media that highlight the positive impact of the program on her life. Her story not only reflects her own progress, but also serves as encouragement to others who may be considering similar support.
Looking ahead, Rebecca has identified further training goals, including Food Safety and Handling and First Aid, to strengthen her skills and support her future aspirations.
Rebecca’s journey demonstrates resilience, commitment, and a growing sense of purpose. With continued support, she is well positioned to achieve her goals and create positive outcomes for herself and her family.
